5 Minute Makeup

Five minute makeup.. No really, everyday or special occasion makeup in five minutes or less. Even better, no makeup brushes or beauty blenders needed. Everything you need in one small makeup bag or purse, and can be put on with a compact mirror!
It took me 15 years of doing my makeup on the go, to come up with this combination of products. I look for products that are a good value, kind to your skin, not tested on animals and look great! But above all, a makeup routine that I can do at red light in my car, on a train into work or after a workout in a crowded gym locker room.
I can count the number of times I sat down in front of a mirror and did my makeup on two hands! My goal is share some helpful tips and products that will hopefully give you a few minutes back into your day, and leave you feeling beautiful! Bonus, most of these items are under $20 and last for months!
Here are my favorite products in the order I put them on every morning!
CC Cream with spf 50
I haven’t worn foundation since this gem came into my life! Full coverage, has the perfect amount of SPF for everyday wear and has an amazing light, citrus scent.
liquid powder
After getting the coverage of the CC Cream above, this liquid powder sets it perfectly! I’ve been using this every day for over ten years. This is also a great touchup if you are starting to get a little shine on a hot day. Highly recommend!
Concealer
Pro tips with the concealer stick:
1. Do the concealer stick after your CC Cream and powder have set for best results.
2. Use a light layer of concealer over eyelid for the perfect primer for the next two steps!
Mac color pot
This is an excellent base layer for any dimensional color you are highlighting the lid with. My favorite color in this product is Groundwork. You rub it right in with your finger, no brushes needed!
mac extra dimension shadow
This is the perfect highlight color under your brow bone. It gives hues of rose gold and honey brown, and lasts all day!
blush and highlighter in one
Yes you read that right blush and highlighter in one easy stroke! No brushes needed. This also works as a soft peachy pink eye shadow. A must have!
All day lip stain
I cannot rave about this product enough! If I get to pick one on the list this is it!! I have tried every lip product on the market that claims it lasts “all day” and this is the only one I have found that actually does! Not to mention it smells great, goes on smooth and looks amazing! My every day color is Lover.
Anastasia brow wiz
This product was life changing! There is a reason it consistently makes Oprah’s Favorite Things every year. Both the Brow Wiz and Brow Pencil make natural looking strokes that last all day. It is totally worth the spend, I typically get 6-8 months out of one pencil! For honey blondes like myself, I wear the Taupe color. But I would recommend matching the shade to your lowest lowlight.
All day eyeliner
This eyeliner has been a staple item for me for years! It doesn’t smudge, even after a workout. It glides on smooth, and removes easily at night. Highly recommend it!
Highlighter
For special occasions or days when you want that extra dewy glow, this is your product! Start the highlight at the end of your brow, and go all the way down the cheek bone. I use the Quartz color.
ENhancer drops
Get your glow on with these beauties! This is one of Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye’s top products, because it looks amazing and is one of the healthiest makeup lines for your skin. Just a small drop goes along way in adding that cheek bone and upper lid glow. One tube lasts 1-2 years! I use the Sunkissed shade.
